UN: Britain, France and Germany rejected the US decision

Representatives of the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Italy and Germany in the United Nations (UN) after the session of the UN Security Council have said that Jerusalem is a common capital of Israel and Palestine, rejecting Washington's decision.

Washington continues to have credibility as a mediator with both Israel and Palestine, said former US ambassador to UN, Nikki Haley, following US President Donald Tramp's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

According to her, the United Nations has done more damage than they have improved the prospects for peace in the Middle East.

"The United States has credibility on both sides, Israel will never even have to make it a UN agreement, or some other groups of countries that have shown no respect for Israeli security," she said at the UN Security Council session.
