Flag of Spain on the Las Palmas jersey for the Barca match

Barcelona should meet Las Palmas at 16.15 in the Primera match, but tensions are high due to the referendum on Catalonia's independence and the question is whether this will happen.

According to the Catalan media, after an emergency meeting of the club's management, Barca officially demanded the move from La Liga and now awaits the response.

On the other hand, a team from the Canary Islands has prepared a political answer - a comprehensive statement has been issued stating, among other things, that the flag of Las Palmas for the match with Barcelona will also be the flag of Spain because they believe in the "unity of Spain".

"We could choose to be a dumb witness of anything that is going on or to take action, we decided for the latter and we decided to add to the jersey a small flag of Spain to clearly outline our hopes for the future of the country," the club website and it is added:

"Although Gran Canaria is far away, we have always felt like part of Spain and we never thought of anything else. By flagging on the jersey, we want to send an unambiguous recommendation to believe in the unity of Spain. We do this from the region that is the longest capital of Spain ".
