Zvizdic explained to young people why they should stay in BiH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic said during the parliamentary debate that a clear European perspective is a stimulating segment for the rest, primarily young people in BiH, as our most important resource.

Maja Gasal-Vražalica, a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, asked at today's joint session of both Houses of the State Parliament of the Speaker Zvizdic what would be singled out as the basic activity they initiated, the initiative they took or the result they achieved, which were aimed at reducing the departure of the population, ie the emigration from BiH, ie the loss of the basic resource of BiH.

Zvizdic said that this is a process that does not happen only in BiH, it is happening throughout the region and even in the EU. He noted that the answer to this question would have to have several segments, which were mentioned by several of them on which the BiH Council of Ministers is actively working in this mandate, but he also pointed out some of the challenges he thinks are important for solving this issue in an integrated manner.

- The segments that are relevant to this issue and which the BiH Council of Ministers is working on is the first issue of general stability and general security in BiH, which is a prerequisite for any economic development, and especially development in those segments that should result in job creation and in such a way tying up young people to link their professional, family intentions to their homeland - said Zvizdic.

He stated that a clear European perspective is an incentive segment for the rest, primarily young people in BiH, as our most important resource. In this regard, he assessed that significant progress was made in relation to the long blocking period in that segment, from the submission of membership requests to the adoption of the membership application, the adoption and the relevance of the Reform Agenda, the entry into force of the SAA, the Coordination Mechanism, the obtaining of the Questionnaire The European Commission for BiH, the current preparation of the response to the Questionnaire, which should result in candidate status ...

Chairman Zvizdic informed MPs that the second segment in which the NATO perspective is working, ie activation of the MAP, leads to an additional level of security and stabilization of the situation in BiH.

- Finally, the reforms that we carry out within the framework of the Economic Reform Agenda, which, for example, have led to a significant increase in exports as a key indicator of BiH's economic development, to an increase in industrial production, to an increase in foreign investment in the first half of 2017 by 28 percent and to increase the number of employees. Yesterday we only heard about the Federation that this is more than 30 thousand newly created jobs - said Zvizdic.

In his words, all these are the segments of the BiH Council of Ministers in order to maintain that basic resource of BiH.

He pointed out that there are challenges that they are constantly facing and that they need to be especially involved.

- This is political stability, which at this moment, considering the beginning of the pre-election campaign, which started in BiH 18 months ahead of time, is not at the level that would be sufficient incentive or create an attractive space for both domestic and foreign investments and the opening of new working places. Further strengthening of the rule of law as a prerequisite for social, political and economic stability and finally the reform of the educational system - said Zvizdic.

He emphasized how he thinks that this is the most important, it is a reform of all reforms that await BiH, a reform that must result in giving knowledge and skills to young people that are in line with the labor market.

Zvizdić notes that, unfortunately, this is not the case now.

- I invite those who are struggling to remain in the jurisdiction of education and do not want to transfer it to any higher level or to integrate access to the education system, to finally begin reforming the education system in order to give knowledge and skills to young people who at this moment the labor market of Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to be - concluded Zvizdic.
