A quarter of companies in TK are working illegally: In the course of a year, 880,000 KM were fined
In the first half of 2017, the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of the Tuzla Canton conducted 8,123 inspections, out of which 5,788 inspections, or 71 percent, were established in accordance with the law.
Amel Mehanovic, the director of the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs of TK, speaking at a press conference on the semi-annual report on the work of this administration that the cantonal government adopted today, said that there were 2,014 supervisors in the violation, or 25 percent of them, and it was issued 551 ban on work ban.
In addition, 1,067 misdemeanor orders were issued in the amount of 880,980 KM, which is 372 orders higher compared to the same period last year, or 460,000 KM more.
The reason for this is, Mehanović stresses, the increased activity of KUIP TK on the suppression of the work of "draft" and gray economy.
The minimum penalty for the previous period amounted to 50, and the highest amount of KM 11,500, referring to the field of labor relations, while the average sentence was 825 KM.
In the past period, there have been 60 injuries at work, of which 16 are lighter, 39 are heavy and one with fatal outcome.
According to Mehanović, catering is the most unreliable area in which 35 percent of the total number of workers are employed to work "in advance", where control has recently been tightened.
He also pointed to the problem of non-issuance of the fiscal account, for which the estimated fine is 3,000 KM.
The most regulated area when it comes to engaging workers and concluding a work contract is the production area.
