BiH citizens have big heart: story of invisible girls from Benin gets a brilliant epilogue

When someone needs help, our citizens show how much they really have a big heart.

The "Captain of Love" from Tomislavgrad, and her twenty-four members of all ages and professions, knows most of the citizens of Herzegovina. For 18 years now, volunteers, each in their profession, give the best of themselves and seek to help their poor fellow citizens, but also those who live thousands of miles away in the poorer countries of Africa. At the moment, he is trying to help Benin, one of the poorest countries of the Black Continent.

There are extremely poor opportunities for children there. And while male children somehow make their choices, they work in the field, they love the fish, or train for a craft, the girls are neglected, they do not go to school, and are mostly illiterate and have almost no appearance for a brighter future.

According to Drazana Perkovic, members and secretaries of the Association , after six years of helping the orphanage Mali Dom in Subukia, Kenya, fifteen days ago, they launched an entirely new project - Puppies for girls in Benin.

" For ten girls, we found a car in just two days, while 16 of them were waiting for all the necessary information, but unfortunately this is slower, because the internet is very bad. But here's how much our people are full of compassion, it's only enough to say that we have "waiting" gods! People come to us from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Croatia and simply tell us "we just want to help, " Drazan tells us, adding that from the information she gets about every girl, they clearly see that their life stories are very difficult and painful. The majority of girls were deceased, and their relatives could not or simply did not want to take care of them. Therefore, he sincerely believes that the help of their godfathers will make life easier for them!

In the Project Kumnjaci, each child receives one or more couples who need to pay 460 euros for the total annual cost per child, including education and health insurance. Chums can also decide on payment in installments, with the first installment payable immediately at the beginning of the year, and the remaining amount by the end of the year.

In cooperation with HT Eronet, the Association has launched a humanitarian number 092 890 885, so that people can help in this way! Inviting this number donates two brands to help girls in the orphanage.

"We can often hear what to do to help Africa when we have the poor in our country! It has, but the proportions of African poverty are incomparable. In Africa, one who has one meal is happy, people are starving! But they are much more satisfied than us, have a ghost and are rejoicing in trifles. Unfortunately, this can rarely be seen in our country, "Drazana tells us, who twice visited her in Africa, more precisely Kenya, where she was worried about abandoned children.

Recalling her first, six-month stay in this African place, she tells us that at the very beginning, she was the most touched by the diet, which is based on -goods (ground corn cooked with water), sukumawiki (cabbage), giants (corn and beans) who ate the children with incredible satisfaction. In those early days, she often knew how to cry, but eventually she realized that they should not complain, they are happy with what they have - they do not know for the better.

On one occasion, Simon Langat, a humanitarian guard, explained to her: "Look, this is gujas (so the Africans call flying ants), they announce the start of the rainy season. They are great for eating, they are very tasty. " And indeed, says Drazan, it was soon raining and realized that Langati was right - most of the children were consciously swallowing raw ants.

" At the beginning of this year for the second time I was in Subuki, Kenya, this time about three months. The growth of my African family and children was terribly difficult. Malena Jane, a girl who gave me special attention to my heart, begged me through tears to take her. I told her heavy hearts I could not. I would be glad, but the Kenyan authorities still do not allow this. They begged me to promise them that I would return again and I would not forget them. I'm not sure about the return, but I know it will always be in my heart. I stayed in touch with everyone. I often hear with my child and how much I can personally continue to help these families in my own way, "stresses our interlocutor who considers the time spent in Africa to be the most beautiful period in her life.

At no point, she said, she was not in danger or felt a fear. She felt like a part of them, as if she used to live with them a long time ago. And so she often likes to say that Africa helped her, not her. There she realized the true values of life, learned to appreciate the little things, and her friends say that Africa has changed a lot.

It notes that many projects, and especially those for Africa, would not succeed without the help of good people, and our people have repeatedly shown that he has a great heart and that he is ready to help a brother in trouble. Thus, the Association of the Love of Love, which from the very beginning is led by Fr. Jozo Radoš-Đoka, with the help of good people, managed to make ten houses for single mothers in less than two years, as well as a warehouse for the Association.

Dražana emphasizes that people are ready to put their humanity in front of the faith and the nation, and often in practice has the opportunity to see that a man looking at his heart sees nothing but a man.

" We have a lot of people who are Islamic faiths and participate in each of our actions and help. As our leader, Fr. Djoke, can say "everywhere there is thorn and rose." But there is more rose. And I think that every man is a good man just needs to encourage him and awaken it well in him, "concluded Drazana Perkovic at the end of the conversation, and commends that Fraud Djokovic and his friars thank the heart for not being able to live your dream and go to Africa!
