Croatia champion in water polo

Croatia's men's water polo team won the title of the world champion after the hosts of Hungary beat Hungary 8-6 (4-0, 0-2, 2-2, 2-2) in Budapest's final in Budapest.

Three goals for Croatia were scored by Sandro Sukno, two Javier Garcia, and one by Marko Macan, Luka Loncar and Maro Jokovic. For Hungary, three goals were scored by Marton Vamos, and by one by White Torok, Kristian Peter Hanhercz and Balasz Erdelyi.

For Croatia, this is the second title in history, exactly 10 years after Melbourne 2007, when Hungary also won the final.
