Mourinho: I did not sell Salah, but Chelsea

Jose Mourinho says that while sitting on the bench Chelsea did not make a decision to sell Mohamed Salah.

Jose Mourinho, Manchester United manager, told the British media that while he was sitting on the bench, Chelsea did not make a decision to sell Mohammed Salah, who today greatly plays in the Liverpool jersey and many consider him to be a better footballer than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, reports Anadoli.

Salah left Stamford Bridge in 2016 and moved to Rome, which he sold to Liverpool last summer.

The great Egyptian has since fled to Anfield fascinated the football public by reaching this season 43 goals in all competitions.

Young Salah

"People say that I sold Salah, but things are different: I was the one who bought Salah. I told Chelsea to buy him. But he came as a young man, physically he was not ready, he was not mentally ready, socially and he was culturally lost and everything was difficult for him, "Mourinho said, and continued:

"Chelsea decided to sell him, so the decision to send him to the loan was common, but after that, the decision to sell and use that money to buy another player was not mine."

Salah arrived in Chelsea in 2014, but loaned Fiorentini, and then Roma, who later bought his contract for 15 million pounds (almost 17 million euros).

In the "swimmers" jersey for two seasons he played only 19 competitive games and scored two goals.
