The famous world antivirus 'Kaspersky' will soon be banned in the United States
The US Senate intends to completely prohibit the use of the products of one of the world's most renowned companies in the field of computer antivirus programs - "Laboratory Kaspersky" - by all state institutions, as well as with their affiliated companies, the ABC News television channel quotes sources in the House of the US Congress
The Senate could bring this decision to the wave of all major fears that "hackers supported by the Kremlin" could use this company to try to manipulate users, to receive their private correspondence and data, sources explained.
It is assumed that this ban will be adopted as an amendment to the draft law on defense policy of the United States. According to him, "no institution in the United States or an organization related to them, directly or indirectly" will be able to use this software. At the end of July, Congress asked 22 state agencies documents about Kaspersky Lab. Congressmen believed that Kaspersky products could be used for malicious activity against the United States, the agency Reuters reported.
In July, it was announced that the US Senate was considering a US military budget plan that implied the ban on the use of the Kaspersky Laboratory product because of connections with the Russian government. Previously, the apartments of the Kaspersky Lab's collaborators in the US were searched in detail, but no evidence of their involvement in suspicious activity was found.
The Russian company said it was fully prepared to cooperate with the US government and denied accusations in its own account.
