Police in Florida warn citizens: Do not shoot hurricane "Irma"
Police in Florida warned residents not to shoot hurricane "Irma".
The district's Sheriff calls on the population not to shoot at fire at Irma, and the message came after tens of thousands of people expressed their readiness to cope with the weather.
More than 53,000 people have reported on Facebook to volunteer as hooligans.
The text titled "Shoot Hurricane Irma" was supported by 25,000 visitors, and many of them expressed their intention to join the action.
"Let's show` Irmi 'that we will be the first to pull off the trigger,' they wrote the initiators of "resistance" on Facebook.
"Nothing in the world can break the spirit of Florida," "Scouters, do not give up" - some of the messages.
Ron Edwards, one of the creators of the petition, explains that "the combination of stress and boredom has prompted him to take action".
He claims that he could not have guessed that such a response would be possible.
His appeal forced the Pasko District Sheriff's office to advertise on Twitter and invite firearms owners not to shoot at the storm.
The deadly superpower that caught the Caribbean on its six-day march has already arrived in Florida, where authorities have called for the evacuation of more than six million people - almost a third of the population of that federal state.
