Ri Jong Ho / North Korea: Trump announced war, we have the right to take countermeasures

North Korean Minister of Foreign Affairs Ri Jong Ho said on Monday that US President Donald Trump had already issued a war on his country, adding that Pyongyang had the right to take all the necessary countermeasures.

"The whole world should know that the United States has first declared war on our country," Ho told reporters in New York.

He pointed out that possible measures against the US include the deployment of US strategic bombers, even if they do not move to North Korea's airspace.

"This also applies to aircraft that are not in our airspace," Ho said.

Trump, in his speech to the UN General Assembly earlier this month, warned of the threat of "rebellious states", specifically singling out North Korea and Iran, and warned that the United States would destroy North Korea if it is forced to defend itself or its allies.
