US: Pyongyang 'pray for war'
The US ambassador to the UN claims that the United States will defend its allies and territory.
The United States has ordered that countries trading with North Korea help its "dangerous nuclear intentions" at a time when the United Nations Security Council is creating new severe sanctions, and the isolated regime is planning new rocket tests.
South Korea has announced that Washington is discussing the deployment of aircraft carrier and strategic bombers to the Korean peninsula after North Korea carried out its sixth and most destructive nuclear test on Sunday.
US Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, at the Security Council session, said North Korean leader Kim Jong Un "pray for war," and called on the 15-member group to adopt the toughest possible measures to stop it.
Patience of the United States is not unlimited
"War is never something the United States wants, but now we do not want it, but the patience of our state is not unlimited. We will defend our allies and territory," said Haley.
"The US will look at each state trading with North Korea as a state that helps the country's ruthless and nuclear intentions," she said.
She revealed that the United States this week will present to the Security Council a new resolution on North Korea for which it wants to vote next Monday.
Russia and China, Pyongyang's largest trading partner, call for a peaceful solution to this crisis.
"China will never allow chaos and war on the Korean peninsula," said Liu Jieyi, the Chinese ambassador to the UN.
Russia considers peace in the region to be endangered.
"The comprehensive solution to nuclear and other issues affecting the Korean peninsula can only be achieved through political diplomatic channels," said Russian ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzia.
Military Opportunities
North Korea has been under the sanctions of that organization since 2006 for its ballistic missiles and nuclear programs. China and Russia think that the only trigger for further sanctions can be testing long-range missiles or nuclear weapons.
US President Donald Trump requested that he be referred to all military capabilities related to North Korea, his defense chief revealed.
Al Jazeera Report Rosilyn Jordan reported that Russia and China have called on America to consider holding military exercises with South Korea.
Officials point out that Pyongyang's activity around the launch area of the missiles shows that they are preparing for more tests.
