A high school student from Sarajevo undermined the memorial of the Tuzla Gate
Citizens of Tuzla were shocked after a memorial wall was devastated today for the young people who died on May 25, 1995 in Tuzla's Kapija.
Vandalism occurred today in the afternoon, and due to the rapid response of public company employees and the very rapid intervention of the MUP officer, the perpetrator was identified and taken to the police station.
The post-war operational MUP TK told us that a young man who is not from the Tuzla Canton area after the trial has been released and that a report will be submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of TK.
As we learn, the word about a Sarajevo high school student who was with his colleagues on a one-day trip to Tuzla. On the monument of Kapija he wrote "TM" and "HZ", abbreviations of fan clubs of the Željezničar and Sarajevo clubs. A high school bus was discharged from Tuzla under a police escort.
The city of Tuzla has sharply condemned this vandalism act and asked the competent authorities to punish the perpetrator with the most punitive punishment.
"The collapse of the monument on Kapija has caused great pain and unexpected blow to the parents and relatives of the victims of the crime in Kapija, but also to all citizens of Tuzla," they said from the town of Tuzla.
