In January, Bosnia and Herzegovina achieved exports worth KM 906 million, which is 25.4 percent more than in January last year, while imports amounted to KM 1,255 billion, up by 24.2 percent.
Import coverage by export was 72.2 percent, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to KM 349 million, data from the BiH Statistics Agency.Exports to CEFTA countries in January amounted to 130 million KM, which is 33.9 percent more than in the same month last year, while imports amounted to 140 million KM, which is 25 percent more. The coverage of imports by exports with CEFTA countries was 92.6 percent.
Exports to EU countries amounted to KM 687 million in January, which is 25.1 percent more than in the same month last year, while imports amounted to 774 million KM, which is 19.8 percent more. Import coverage with exports to EU countries was 88.7 percent.
