From 11 am to 5 pm / In Vitez tomorrow action of donating hair for wigs to children with cancer

The action of haircuts and donating hair for making wigs for children with cancer was announced for Sunday in Vitez, from 11 am to 5 pm in the central area within the FIS shopping center.

The organizers invite all citizens of the Central Bosnia Canton to join the action. For those who want to donate their hair, the important note is that it must be clean, dry, chemically untreated and non-carbine and at least 30 cm long (ideal and longer).

The action is organized by the Heart Association for Children with Cancer within the project My Hair - Your Hair. So far, 18 wigs have been produced and handed over, and three are currently under construction.

Wigs from the Association's workshops are available completely free to any child with temporary or permanent hair loss to regain self-confidence and successfully fit into the environment.

My Hair Project - your hair was supported by the Government of Switzerland, the organizers of the action said.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, about 60 children of different ages suffer from malignant diseases annually. The cure percentage is about 80 percent. However, the path to healing is difficult and painful, and children, especially girls, one of the most difficult experiences is losing hair.
