AC / DC died Malcolm Young
Malcom Young, the guitarist and co-founder of the legendary band AC / DC, died on Saturday in the 64th year.
Young has been struggling with dementia for the past three years, a disease that forced him to withdraw from active work with a band that was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
He founded the band in 1973 along with his brother Angus.
"Today, with great sorrow, we are informing you that Malcom Young has passed away," the band said in a statement.
"It's hard for me to express the words he has meant to me all my life, and we had an unbelievable relationship, which was special." He left behind a legacy that will live forever. "Malcolm, every honor," said his brother Angus.
The rhythm of guitarists of the famous rock band was the motor fuel of the band that has filled the arena and stadiums around the world for decades. Malcom and Angus have written almost all of the songs and riffs of the band since 1973 to this day.
From the debut album High Voltage from 1975 to Rock or Bust in 2014, the two were co-creators of a unique sound that tens of millions of fans around the world fascinated.
Malcom left the band in 2014, after being reported to suffer from dementia. The last performance by Malcom with the band was in 2010 in Bilbao, Spain, when the band was touring with the Black Ice album in 2008.
