Emergency: Several cities are left without electricity

Due to the consequences of storms and strong winds, a state of emergency was declared in Knezevo and regular electricity supply was stopped, said Srni Mayor Goran Borojevic.

Borojevic said that the wind had destroyed the trees and that electricity had no more than 30 hours. "The question is when will the electricity come in. According to our information, the workers of the power distribution company are on the ground and eliminate the failures of the transmission lines," said Borojevic. He said that the classes in the local elementary school were interrupted, and that the classes were shortened at the secondary school. According to him, the demolished trees that blocked the road Kneževo-Banja Luka were removed.

"We managed this with the help of road maintenance companies, civil protection and businessmen. However, there is still a risk of falling trees, and we are ready," Borojević noted. He added that the strong wind caused a lot of damage to the facilities, and that in the coming period there will be more information about damage. "The message to the inhabitants is to be patient, because the competent teams are working to eliminate defects and blockages," Borojevic said. He added that the supply of water in the Knezevo, for the time being, is correct.

Snow in Foca again switched off the power

A large part of the Municipality of Foca is without electricity, and the failure caused snow that fell last weekend, it was confirmed in the Foca Electricity Distribution. No voltage is the "Buk Bijela" power transmission line that streams all the villages from Buk Bijela to Tjentiste and Vrbnica, as well as the Čelebići transmission line, which means that without electricity there are many villages in the area from Zavait to Čelebić. There are no residents in the area of Miljevina, Kozje Luke, Trnovača, Kuta and Baljevo polje.

Electricians yesterday managed to repair faults at the KMU transmission line and to provide power for Brod on the Drina. Electricity disappeared in Lazarevo, but the malfunction was quickly restored. As early as last week, defects were caused by heavy snow and fell trees, and the workers of "Elektrodistribucija" are on the ground and are making great efforts to train transmission lines.

Also, the entire area of Han Pijesak municipality since last night was powerless due to a power outage on the Zalukovik transmission line due to a snowstorm, said the head of the Municipal Headquarters for the cleaning of local roads, Zora Gasevic.
