VIDEO Big snowfall in Croatia: Fall of ice with tennis balls and the most expensive rain is coming
According to the latest measurements of rainfall at the DHMZ meteorological stations in Rab, today, according to more unofficial data, the newest monthly snowfall in Croatia was 384.7 mm.
And in Porec this morning a new record for the total amount of rainfall in September - 265.6 mm. Not yet officially confirmed, and only momentary because rain will fall today and tomorrow.
The abundant rain that has dropped almost all night in the Kvarner region caused floods, and the most difficult situation is in Crikvenica and Novi Vinodolski, where flooded roads are closed for traffic. According to unofficial data, last night Crikvenica fell 183 liters per square meter, during the past 24 hours in Krka 94 liters and in Delnicama 65.
Several villages in the Lekenik municipality struck a very thunderous storm with the city, told Index reader, who also sent photos of the storm.
"The size of the tennis ball was falling, and there was a great deal of damage to agricultural crops and cars," says the reader.
The second reader sent a photo from the Sisak-Velika Gorica highway, where it is seen that the road raged and created traffic problems.
"We were waiting for about 10 minutes to stop falling and then we were driving this road," the reader wrote.
There was a great deal of hiccup to Cerje near Sesveta where a bigger amount of ice was poured.
