You do this every day before bedtime every night: It's important, here's why!
Jumping into the bed directly from the tub - a bad idea
Studies have proven long ago that showering can clear your mind and enhance your creativity, but now scientists have come to a new understanding - shower does not only affect a better sleep, but, as far as it sounds absurd, helps you fall asleep!
Still, you should not get the right out of bed to get into bed. Doctor Diana Augelli from the Sleeping Medicine Center points out that the key thing is time.
"It is not desirable to warm up just before going to sleep. On the contrary, cooling is a signal that tells you it's time to go to sleep," says Augeli. Maybe it's cold for us when we are asleep!
We still have a question - what's the best timing?
The doctor says it's about 90 minutes before you plan to lie down. During this time, the body will regulate biorhythm and send drowsiness signals, which indicate that it is time to sleep.
Immediately after showering, your body is heated, and you feel more active and creative. But as time passes, the cooling process takes place, and the organism begins to feel the need for a break. An additional plus is that your hair will be completely dry for 90 minutes.
